One of the things we are passionate about is that wines should have a sense of place, but what does that mean? For us it means that the wines are of and reflect this beautiful corner of the World. The rains fall gently (actually often not so gently) on our soils from where they are sucked up into the vine and with a little help from the sun become grape juice. Come the autumn those grapes are harvested and carried no more than a few hundred meters to the winery where with the help of trillions of indigenous yeasts and bacteria we turn the grape juice into wine. Then finally, right outside the winery and with the help of the very unromantic bottling lorry, we bottle the wines and capture in a bottle a wine which first and foremost gives enjoyment, but is also truly of and reflects one place.
So thanks to everyone who helped with the bottling last week. The new wines, including the 2016 rosé should be shipping soon. We hope that you enjoy them and when you do please think of this little corner of the World and if you haven’t already, then maybe come and visit one day.
