Finally, after holding on and holding on we started harvesting yesterday morning! We brought in the Cru Vinsobres Syrah a full 17 days later than last year. Thanks to the wonderful warm sunny weather we have had in September the grapes were in super condition. They are now safely in the cuves and will start fermenting soon. We will be harvesting again tomorrow (Wednesday) to bring in the grapes for our Carpe Diem Rosé and Carpe Vinum fruity red. Then after that we have the Grenache for the Cru Vinsobres and the Grenache and Syrah for the Terra Firma Côtes du Rhône, so lots still to do, but it is good to finally get started!
